find a need and fill it

Our Adopt-A-Block is an outreach that reaches out to families of Gloucester County, New Jersey. Our mission is to “FIND A NEED AND FILL IT!” We do this by providing: food, clothes, home goods, and conduct light outdoor cleaning, minor fix ups, and help with moving, to qualified families.  Adopt-A-Block is centered around reaching, serving, and loving our communities. Doing the best with what God has given us, and spending time getting to know the needs of those living in that neighborhood.  We welcome anyone who has a heart to see lives changed through the power of servanthood.

Adopt-A-Block's are scheduled at various times throughout the year.  If you would like to get involved by donating your time or resources,
simply complete a Volunteer Application and we will notify you of upcoming Adopt-a-Block events!

KISS Club Adopt-a-Block

We put our work clothes on and shared our love, time and energy by helping us spruce up the K.I.S.S. CLUB at 818 N Broad Street in Woodbury.  The K.I.S.S. CLUB has been a non-profit social club for over 20 years.  Their primary purpose is to provide a safe and sober environment for anyone in a 12 step program. They currently have over 30 meetings a week, representing 4 different 12 step fellowships. Thanks Jim for allowing us the privilege of serving the members of this very special group, it was a honor to spend time at your place!

National park fire hall Adopt-a-Block

Our May, 2016 Adopt-A-Block took place at the National Park Fire Hall, at 523 Hessian Avenue in National Park.  The Fire Department has donated their hall to the South Jersey Dream Center, free of charge, since January, 2015.  They open their doors to us for our monthly food distribution on the third Tuesday of the month, and we wanted to "give back"!  It was awesome...the place was sparkling!

national park resident ADOPT-A-BLOCK

Our very first Adopt-a-Block was a blast, there's nothing like serving in your local community, and making a difference in someone's life in such a simple way.  This private residence needed some tender loving care and we were looking to share-the-love with a family in need, what a perfect match.
