The best thing for a child is to grow up in a safe and healthy home under the care of loving parents. Alyssa Baus, a Court Appointed Special Advocate with CASA For Children, knows what it takes to help parents reduce the risk of being separated from their children due to abuse or neglect, and to make sure they don’t get lost in the overburdened legal and social service system or languish in inappropriate group or foster homes. As a trained advocate for children, Alyssa will share her knowledge and expertise in this workshop to help troubled parents take steps toward restoration and wholeness as a family. Also on hand with lots of helpful resources will be Jacqueline Beltran, an Intake Specialist at the Kinship Care Wraparound Program, a department of the Family Service Program in Egg Harbor Township.
